Okay! Here’s a groove lesson covering how to play the popular 2nd Line or New Orleans Groove and some variations.
This groove pops up way more that you think it would actually. I play it regularly in the blues/funky outfit Dukesy & The Hazzards. I guess it’s got a different take on it in this setting but man, I love playing it. There’s so much room to be able to express yourself – rolls, flams, fills etc. Really worth checking out if you’ve never played this groove before. Check out the drum lesson and see what you think!
